Wiltshire Police continues to drive down overall crime according to the latest figures released by the Offices for National Statistics (ONS).
Crime figures released by the ONS today, show that Wiltshire Police recorded the lowest number of crimes of any of the 42 forces in the country - in the 12 months leading up to September 2021.
Areas showing an increase in reporting of crime include stalking and harassment and sexual offences.
In these crime areas Wiltshire Police remain below the levels of similar force areas.
Increased reporting of these cases by victims is being cautiously welcomed by Wiltshire Police as a reflection of the huge amount of work that has been undertaken to address the fact that this is a crime type that is often under reported by victims.
